How to pause when presenting
Tips, takeouts and things to try:

When you’re in ‘transmission mode’, you’re not giving the other person a chance to respond and signal that they’re with you.

If you stop to pause regularly throughout your presentation, it starts to feel more like a conversation. Even though you’re the one sending information, the recipient will feel more engaged.

Pausing also gives off the impression of gravitas. Gravitas has nothing to do with age or appearance; it is simply down to choosing not to speak.
